Graham Gouldman was one of the most successful British songwriters of the 1960’s and went on to even greater fame in the 1970’s as a member of 10cc. This is a homemade compilation featuring his biggest hits by the Yardbirds, Herman’s Hermits, the Hollies, rare singles from his “Manchester Beat” band days with the Mockingbirds, tracks from the late ‘60’s Kasenetz-Katz bubblegum factory, his ‘70’s art-pop classics with 10cc, and a handful of obscure solo recordings and productions.This compilation while no means complete does attempt tp present a good cross section of work (the hits and the misses) by a wide variety of musicians who were fortunate enough to work with Graham Gouldman in one capacity or another.
When gathering all of these vinyl records from my collection I was amazed by the breadth and scope of Graham Gouldman's contributions. This set is ripped from the best vinyl sources in my collection declicked and denoised. I hope you are as pleasantly surprised as I was after hearing all of this music in one collection.
