Having a Rave Up is a compilation album by English blues rock band The Yardbirds, released in 1965 (see 1965 in music) in the United States. In 2003, the album was ranked number 353 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
It was the last album to feature Eric Clapton as the group's lead guitarist (although Clapton's replacement, Jeff Beck, appears on the cover).
The album is thought of as one of the most influential of the 60's and has been said to predict heavy metal, psychedelia and even art rock several years before their respective times.
A U.S.-only album, Rave Up complies six 7" singles and B-sides on the first side; the second side contains four live recordings previously appearing on the U.K. album Five Live Yardbirds.
